for the Junior European Open Agility 2010


The Junior European Open Agility 2010 is an Agility competition which is officially recognised by the FCI and is based on the FCI Agility regulations of 2007. The competition is OPEN to all dogs, with or without pedigree. Dogs have to be in possession of a record book or a license issued by a National Member Organisation of the FCI or a National Organisation with a close relationship to the FCI. All National Member Organisations of the FCI or National Organisations with a close relationship to the FCI are invited to participate in this event. For logistical purposes the number of competitors has to be limited to approximately 400 dogs. Of these a maximum of 50% may be in the category “Large”.

Participant:
The inscriptions for each country are allowed up to max. 50% teams in Large.

Each National Organisation has the right to nominate competitors and to send the entries to the organizer at the latest by April 10th 2010. Team leaders of the countries can register themselves on the homepage of the Junior European Open. After registration they will receive an email with an attached file for the registration of the participants. If countries choose to have a selection process, this must be OPEN to all dogs (with or without pedigree).

A list of all those countries choosing to send entries through their respective National Organisation will be published separately.

Competitors of all other countries may send their entries directly to the organiser between April 15th and April 30th 2010. If the allocation in category Large of a country is filled further entries of that country will be put on a waiting list. The inscriptions are accepted in order of entry.

For the team competition the combination of the teams must be finished latest June 15th 2010. After this date remaining participants which are not yet member of a team will be combined to teams by the organizer.

The Junior EO provides the following groups:
Children: under 15 years old (born 1996 and younger – year of birth is taken into account)
Juniors: from 15 to 18 years old (born 1992 – 1995 – year of birth is taken into account)

The minimum age of any competing dog is 18 months (verified date of birth in entry).

The handler has to have the nationality or an appropriate permanent residence authorization for the registering country. Handlers with dual nationality are allowed to register only for one country.

Junior European Open – Individual Competition


The Individual Events take place on July 10th 2010 and are held in the categories Large, Medium and Small separated by children and juniors.

In the Individual Events at first an Agility round and a Jumping round is run in all 3 height categories. Both rounds are scored separately by faults and time for all competitors.

The team (handler + dog) with the best overall result (Agility & Jumping) will be called “Winner Junior European Open Individual 2010” in each height category separated by children and juniors.



Junior European Open – Team Competition


The Team Events (mixed Children and Juniors) take place on July 11th 2010 and are held in the categories Large and a combined Medium/Small.

The total number of competitors per country in the Team Event is limited by the number of competitors in the Individual Event. The number of competitors in the height category Large is limited to 50% of the total number for each country.

A team in the height category Large consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 handler and dog teams. A team in the height category Medium/Small consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 handler and dog teams whereby the composition of Small and Medium dogs is not prescribed.

Mixed Country Teams may also compete (one Team composed of handler and dogs from different countries).

For the Junior European Open Team Event one Agility round and one Jumping round will be run.

The 3 best runs of each team will count towards the team result for each round.

The team with the best overall result (3 best runs Agility & 3 best runs Jumping) will be called “Winner Junior European Open Team 2010”



Starting fees

30,00 € for both days (Individual- A N D  Team-Event)
20,00 € for participating only one day



Registration and Identity-Check

The registration for all participants takes place on Friday, July 09th 2010. During the registration the identity of each dog will be checked.

All competitors have to hand over a record book or a license to compete issued by a National Member Organisation of the FCI or a National Organisation with a close relationship to the FCI.

Prize Giving Ceremony:


Prize giving for all events will be held on July 11th 2010 after the completion of the Team Event.

The prize giving for the Junior European Open Team Event will be held first. For both height categories, Large and Medium/Small, the top 3 placed countries will be announced. The anthem of the winning country will be played. Should the winner be a „Mixed Country Team“, the European Anthem will be played.

Thereafter the prize giving for the Junior European Open Individual Event will take place. The 3 first places of both the Agility and the Jumping rounds in all height categories will be announced separated by Children and Juniors (without national anthems). This will be followed by the prize giving for the top 3 places in each height category of the combination results separated by Children and Juniors (the National Anthems of the winning countries will be played).

To conclude the ceremony the flag of the Junior European Open (FCI flag) will be handed over to the host country for the following year.
